One of my favorite things about Fort Myers is the AMAZING sunsets.  I mean we had some pretty spectacular sunsets in Hermosa Beach for the 9 years I lived there.  Here on the west coast of Florida there is a magnificent one nearly every evening.   I was so happy to have my sister, Nancy, from Nancitinis come visit me.  You might know her from some of her Thirsty Thursday guest blogs: Cranberry Daquiri and Adult Grapefruit Slushy.  

Our family does like our cocktails.  Nancy and I felt like this was the perfect opportunity to create a cocktail together.  We did lots of fun things but our highlight was heading to Captiva Island and having a sunset cocktail at the Mucky Duck.  It is a beautiful beach full of seashells and we got to sit and watch the dolphins while the sun went down.  Based on that inspiration, we decided to create a "Florida Sunset" cocktail. 

I had seen an advertisement for Chambord Vodka and wanted to try it.  Nancy provided some mixer suggestions and we were in business!

These were very tasty and easy!  Cheers to my sister for coming to visit.  I miss her like crazy!
