My BFF Melissa makes this mojito for me and after you try it, you'll know why I keep her around.
8 oz glass
1 cup crushed ice
1 heaping teaspoon of sugar
6-7 shredded mint leaves
Shot of dark rum
Simply Limeaide
Ice, sugar and mint in the glass. Use a muddler for best results and muddle the sugar, ice and mint together. Add a bit more ice. Add the shot of rum and pour the limeaide over the top. Stir and serve!
This is definitely one to share with friends on a sunny day. Or something refreshing to serve Dad while he kicks up his feet this Father's Day. Cheers!
Mojitos are my #1 favorite cocktail and I love this recipe since it doesn’t involve squeezing a bunch of limes! Super easy – perfect for a night (like tonight) after work!
ReplyDeleteSounds refreshing! Now I just need a good hot day to enjoy this with!
ReplyDeleteHas anyone tried Barefoot Contessa's watermelon mojito? I have not, but I dream about it at night
ReplyDeleteJen - you've given me inspiration for my next TT assignment. Watermelon Mojito test run and recipe coming soon (and by then it will only be a matter of days before you're able to drink again)!
ReplyDeleteI made this last night and added a a few slices of cucumber. I had never done it before but put cucumber in my water all the time to freshen it up. It worked! If you are not a cucumber fan don't do it but I thought it added another flavor that was both subtle and delicious.
ReplyDeleteJust made these tonight! They were a hit. So delish! This will be my mojito recipe for good now. Thanks! Love your blog!
